CHS' Lynn McConnell Receives Commack Star Award

For nearly two decades, Lynn McConnell has loyally served as the athletic trainer for CHS teams. She also teaches physical education and health classes and is the advisor for the CHS School of Medicine.
And on Monday, McConnell was recognized with a Commack STAR Award by superintendent Dr. Jordan Cox for her 19 years of service and going above and beyond on behalf of the district’s students.
McConnell also is an advisor for the Athletes Helping Athletes club as well as a member of the Wellness Committee and Nutrition Committee. And she serves as the concussion liaison for the athletic department.
She is a true professional in every sense of the word. The hours she works for the district are immeasurable. She is a mentor for the high school students and athletes in both education and athletic endeavors.
