Beth Considine Selected for Star Award
March’s Star Award recipient is Beth Considine.
Beth is a true leader among the special education department. Beth is innovative and she creates meaningful project-based learning tasks that keep the students engaged and teach them the skills they need for real-life situations. Beth works diligently to differentiate lessons to ensure that all of her students can access learning. She truly understands that all children can learn, just not in the same way. She is often seen digging deep to get to the bottom of a problem by finding a healthy and compassionate solution. She has a “let’s-get-it-done” mindset that includes rallying the team and inspiring the students.
Sawmill Principal Michelle Tancredi-Zott stated that Beth has been a champion of the special-needs students. It's no wonder that her door is a revolving one - always encouraging students to be successful. She is constantly thinking of creative ways to engage students. Her classroom is welcoming to all learners and we are proud to call her our colleague and friend!
And Beth’s colleague Tara stated, “To know her is to love her, and we all do!” Congratulations Beth on this well-deserved honor!
