CHS Math Honor Society Hosts Inaugural Decathlon

The CHS Math Honor Society hosted its inaugural Math Decathlon after school on Thursday.
The quick-paced group competition featured questions from trigonometry, algebra and calculus.
For instance, the students were asked how many groups of 10 can be formed from 25 men and 20 women if it must include exactly six men and four women.
Students raced from their white board and calculators to a buzzer to correctly answer: 858,049,500.
This brand-new event was dreamed up and run by the students.
The winners of the inaugural event: Edwin J., Ethan B. and Boris C.
