CHS Students Take Polar Plunge after Raising $5K for Special Olympics
The air temperature may have been spring-like, but the bay water temperature definitely was befitting the Polar Plunge!
Led by the Special Olympics Support Club and Pay It Forward Club, CHS students took the plunge at Tobay Beach on Saturday morning at the Town of Oyster Bay-sponsored event.
The clubs raised a combined $5,000 to benefit the Special Olympics.
Overall, the event raised $130,000 for the cause.
