CHS Health Students Create Gratitude Cards while Channeling Mindfulness

CHS students are expressing appreciation for others during their health classes by writing and designing “gratitude cards” on Thursday.
The students selected relatives, teachers, coaches and others as their recipients. They then wrote a heartfelt message.
Afterward, the health students used shaving cream and food dye to create a tie-dyed effect on the outside of the cards.
As part of the mindfulness lesson, the students learned that it is important to be thankful for what you have in your life rather than be fixated on what you don’t have in a material world. They also were reminded of their support system, which includes friends, family, teachers and counselors.
The Arts in Education-funded project was in conjunction with Think Wellness.
