SCOPE Honors Superintendent Dr. Jordan Cox with Administrator Service Award

School educators from throughout Long Island gathered on Monday evening in Holbrook to salute superintendent Dr. Jordan Cox as well as other impactful education officials.
At SCOPE’s 24th annual School District Awards Dinner, Dr. Cox was presented with an Administrator Service Award.
Dr. Cox was recognized for Commack’s innovative approach to education, including the district’s continued introduction of real-life learning spaces — from agricultural programs, to the Discovery Den, to a finance lab at CHS.
Dr. Cox also was recognized for his prioritization of mental health.
Administrators from throughout the district joined Dr. Cox at the event, including Board of Education members Dr. William Hender, Susan Hermer and Dana Schultz, assistant superintendents Timothy Russo and Scott Oshrin, district clerk Debbie Virga, principals Carrie Lipenholtz, Katherine Rihm, Brian Simpson and Michelle Tancredi, director of athletics Patrick Friel and executive assistant Margaret Nappi.
