Commack Schools hosted its annual String Night on Wednesday at CMS, as a combined Burr/Sawmill chamber orchestra performed, followed by the chamber orchestras from CMS and CHS.

The students had been working with guest clinician Phil Preddice the past two days, and he joined them for a final performance in unison.

Preddice, a graduate of the Crane School of Music, has been the primary conductor of the MYO Suffolk Principal Orchestra since its formation in 2008.

CMS will host a district-wide Jazz Night on April 2 and Vocal Night on April 9, both at 7 p.m.
