Wood Park students went green on a pair of fronts on Monday.

Not only were the primary students dressed in the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day, they also did their part to help the environment.

Getting a jumpstart on Earth Day, the students are decorating paper grocery bags with pictures and messages containing environmentally friendly subjects.

While supplies last during April, Stop & Shop and Trader Joe's shoppers will receive the Wood Park-decorated bags when they make purchases and request paper bags.

Earth Day is April 22.
