CHS Salutes Pair of New Eagle Scouts
CHS principal Carrie Lipenholtz and school counselors saluted a pair of new Eagle Scouts on Thursday morning.
Kyle J. and Jake B. from Troop 125 recently achieved the honor.
For his service project, Kyle worked with SOFO Sharks, an organization in Bridgehampton, to create a Shark awareness event.
The event at the Suffolk Y JCC, which was open to the local community, included bouncy houses, music, activities and eight educational booths. Those booths had information about sharks, the environment and scouting.
For his service project, Jake led a team of volunteers to construct and install two fire pits surrounded by three benches apiece at campsites at Blydenburgh County Park. The team also repaired all of the benches at Wolf Sites 2 and 4.
Jake raised the funds by holding a carwash fundraiser at the Commack United Methodist Church.
In October, CHS had congratulated a trio of new Eagle Scouts from Troop 125: Alexander A., Austin S. and Wyatt B.
